Ready for fishing

Apparently, Mommy wasn't paying enough attention this morning. As I sat at the computer... I saw this walking out the hall. (and i forgot to put the gate up to our spare room!) He thought he was big stuff with this fishing pole! And after I snapped a few pics... i took it off of him immideately (for the grandparents!). Just wanted to share this... it's off to school now though!

Apparently, Mark and I weren't paying quite enough attention to Ben today... and this is what happened... almost an entire roll of paper towels in the middle of the kitchen floor. He sure had fun in them. At least we got to salvage most of the paper towels. We had a volleyball game tonight... we won 1 out of 3 games... not bad for only having 5 people play. Tomorrow night the three of us are going out for dinner w/ our neighbor's... so we are looking forward to that!

It has once again been a pretty uneventful couple of days. On Sunday we went up to the Hamilton's with the Youth Group for a "picnic in the snow" minus the snow. Then yesterday I was at school ALL DAY LONG!!! (8 a.m.- 8p.m.) I did however get to come home from 12-3:30. I have a 3 hour night class that was EXTREMELY boring. So today, Ben and I are just hanging out around the house. He has had a temperature and runny nose ( I believe it could be the 4 teeth he's pushing in). He's sleeping right now... going on 2 1/2 hours! We like those kind of naps!! :)

Lazy Days

Today is a pretty cold day. We are just hanging out around the house (especially since someone is a little cranky!!) We had a big night last night. He went to the Yoder's to play ( I baby-sit their son). He got a wagon for his birthday from them He absolutly loved it and loved having Ian pull him around in it!




As you can see, our son is turing into quite the little monkey!! He has learned that he can climb just about anything! He climbed on the table, the computer desk and the toilet yesterday. He also went into his high chair by himself and tried to climb the front of our kitchen cart. Mark and I are taking bets on when our first trip to the ER will be for stitches!!!

Here are some pictures from his bath the other day. He's in his VERY snuggly towel that his Aunt Kay and Uncle Harold got for him. I wish that they made them in adult sizes!



And here is a pic of him after his bath! He loves to run around in the buff (with a diaper on of course... we don't trust him yet!) He is always so interested when I am taking his picture and goes in for a close up!!!

Ben and Emma

We seem to have a problem with Ben and the dogs... he is ALWAYS wanting to lay down on top of them. IT's so cute though because he just lays on Emma and hugs her. I think Oscar may be a little too big because he doesn't usually lay on him! Here's a picture of Ben and Emma from this morning!

Weekend

we had a very relaxing weekend. Mark and I spent the night at the Inn at Turkey Hill to celebrate our anniversary (better late than never!) and Ben spent the night at Grammy Boyer's. I was ready to come home to him by 10:00 Monday morning though! I didn't think it would bother me so much being away from him like that. I finally found my camera so here are some of the most recent pictures of Ben!! (and he and his daddy sitting with the cows!)

Well, I would love to post a new picture of Ben, but his hair-brained mother seems to have temporarily lost her camera! (I wish I could blame it on Mark, but he never even touches the camera!!) Ben has his 12 month check up today at 1:00. I am excited to see just how big he is. He's really starting to get heavy to pick up off of the floor, especially when he straightens himself out like a board (we all know he gets that attitude from his father :) ) . We've had a pretty busy week. We went down to visit Dan and Denise on Wednesday, and we are off to Cabela's today with both sets of grandparents which should be a lot of fun. Hopefully I can find my camera before we leave so I can get some pics of his first trip there.

Life These Days

Well, Things have been pretty laid back the past couple of days. Ben and I (Ashley) are just taking things very slowly since things will be picking up quite a bit next Wednesday. I am starting back to school with 12 credits, which should be interesting with a 1 year old!! :) I am looking forward to being done with school though. Mark took Jonathan Busada down to the farm show in Harrisburg today, so that will be a nice break for him. Tomorrow we are planning a trip down to Dan and Denise's to deliver some beef. And then it's back up here for a continuation of a calm week. We have a "picnic in the snow" w/ our youth group on the 21st, but things aren't looking too good for snow!!! So I guess it will just be a "picnic"!

Hello Everyone!!

Hi Everyone! Ben and Jill introduced us to this and it seemed like a great way to stay up to date w/ family that is away! We hope that you enjoy this (it will probably just be a lot of pictures of Ben... He's quite busy these days!!) We hope all is going well with everyone and that you are all having a great new year! Ashley starts back to school on the 17th, which will be busy with 12 credits and a one year old. Since the Market is closed through April, Mark will be working full time at the township, and spending some much needed time with his wife and son :) They are already enjoying his extra time he has!
